Join us in honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service to others by supporting REST’s Art Spa. On Saturday, Jan. 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., we’ll be working alongside Rae to prep art therapy materials that help create a restorative, creative space for survivors. Volunteer tasks may include painting white gesso or primer over donated used canvases to make them blank again, removing the legs from glasses so they can be primed and used on canvases, and cutting out words and images from magazines and poetry books for collage and reflection activities. Come lend a hand, connect with fellow community members, and help make Art Spa possible. Let’s make this MLK Day truly meaningful through service and care.
