Volunteer Opportunities
REST was started by a team of individuals who were volunteering their time, and volunteer work continues to be a critical element of everything we do. We are always seeking people who are willing to be generous with their time, skills, and passions to contribute to the work of REST.
Meet Rae Cameron, Artist and REST Volunteer.
Check out some of our opportunities, and how to get connected, below.
Direct service
Direct service volunteer roles involve face to face interaction with clients and require special training, starting with our H.O.P.E. Training. Once trained, volunteers can serve in our Drop In Center, on our Street Outreach Team, or as UpLift drivers transporting clients to important appointments.
Events
Throughout the year, we host events, including A Night of REST, our annual fundraising gala. We often need volunteers to help procure and pick up auction items or supplies, and to support event day logistics from setup to tear down.
Administrative
Administrative volunteers help keep REST running behind the scenes. Most roles are project based, with a few ongoing opportunities. Tasks can include mailings, IT support, photography, or graphic design. If you have a professional skill you would like to share, reach out.
Facilities & Maintenence
We operate a Drop In Center, Emergency Shelter, and administrative offices, and we often need skilled help with maintenance projects like plumbing, small repairs, construction, and landscaping. Some projects are great for groups, such as deep cleaning at the Drop In Center.
Join the Board of Directors
We’re seeking members who bring unique perspectives and competencies, align with our beliefs, and are passionate about seeing people move toward freedom, safety, and hope after a life of sexual exploitation.
Connect to Volunteer Opportunities
If you’re looking to find a volunteer role and get involved you can either start by attending our H.O.P.E. Training for Community Members or use the form below to connect with a REST team member.
