2024 Stronger Together Recipient

Detective Maurice Washington

In 2024, we were proud to present this award to Detective Maurice Washington, whose extraordinary dedication has made a lasting difference in the lives of survivors. With more than 32 years in law enforcement, including 22 years of undercover work and 14 years focused specifically on human trafficking, Detective Washington has helped countless victims find freedom, disrupted trafficking networks, and brought traffickers to justice.

His victim-centered approach fosters the courage and resilience survivors need to rebuild their lives, while his unwavering commitment to justice ensures long-term protection for those most vulnerable. Through his expertise, leadership, and collaborative spirit, Detective Washington embodies the very heart of our 2024 theme: cultivating courage and strength.
